The Majilis of the Parliament adopted a new Law on Public Procurement: Quality, Efficiency and Innovation

On May 15, 2024, the Mazhilis of the Parliament adopted a new Law “On Public Procurement” in the second reading.

The law is aimed at improving the quality of purchased goods, works, services, simplifying and shortening the procurement process, further automating procedures, strengthening the responsibility of public procurement participants, as well as creating a unified procurement platform.

At the same time, a new appeal mechanism, introduction of the institute of public monitoring, elements of “sustainable public procurement”, as well as EPC contracts - turnkey basis construction, offtake contracts are envisaged.

In general, the Law is aimed at ensuring the priority of the quality of purchased goods, works, and services.
